An Experiment is truly an experiment I conducted as a young composer to see if I could write a piece that successfully blends progressive metal with wind band music. I'd call this experiment a success. The piece features wild time signature changes and polymeter, a pseudo-drum set, and even a clarinet solo taking the place of a guitar solo.
